My name is Ellen and it’s my pleasure to meet you. I really am a musician who has started a new creative outlet… felted works of art. I live in Ohio with my husband, Doc and we have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. We live in an 1830′s farm house on a gentlemen’s farm and it is the house of our dreams, although it always has a project waiting to be finished.

When I started making these felted bags, I never expected to become so in love with making them.  I starting making them and giving them as gifts to my friends. One of those friends said, ” I think my Bible will fit in it!” and the idea of making them to carry a Bible was born. What fun to walk into your Bible study with the Word of God in a creation that He inspired!

Every bag is knit from 100% sheep and/or alpaca wool.The flowers and leaves are either hand knit or created from wool roving. Some of the roving actually comes from our neighbor’s sheep ! Each bag takes on its own personality and sometimes lace, buttons, bows, pearls, or beads are added to make each little work of art complete. Every bag is lined and has pockets for your cell, makeup, pens or whatever fits.

I would love to make an original bag for you or for you to give as a gift. You can chose from the designs you see here and they will be numbered in the series, or perhaps you have an inspiration from a theme, color, or scripture that will create a new design and series. We can work together to create that special bag for you.

Bags range from $40 to $75 depending on the amount of decorating. I also make small versions for that special little lady in your life, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece or any special little girl. They are $30 to $40.
